Our Entry Level provision is changing. As part of the reform of general qualifications we have made the difficult decision not to redevelop Entry Level Child Development. However, you may be interested in our new Cambridge National Certificate in Child Development, which is being developed for teaching from September 2016. Cambridge Nationals are vocationally related qualifications geared to key sector requirements.


  • Provides learners with an opportunity to focus on Child Development.
  • Develops knowledge and understanding of human needs within a diverse society.
  • You can have a greater level of involvement with this qualification than at GCSE.
  • Candidates also have an opportunity to move to or from the GCSE qualifications.
