Qualification reform
OCR has made the difficult decision not to redevelop GCSE Portuguese. Efforts have been made to find an awarding body to continue the qualification and we are delighted that the DfE has gained agreement in principle from another provider to take up the provision of GCSE Portuguese.

This qualification allows students to learn relevant and meaningful contexts, preparing them to use these acquired skills in situations they are likely to encounter in their everyday or professional life. The specification and specimen assessment materials are applicable to both full and short courses.
