Qualification redevelopment
Our GCSE Religious Studies provision has been redeveloped for first teaching in September 2016. We’ll be focussing our resources and support into providing the new GCSE full course and GCSE short course. Learners and teachers have the opportunity to choose their combination of which two religions to study, through a philosophical and ethical approach. To find out more visit our new qualification page below.
This qualification provides students with a comprehensive faith-based approach to Religious Studies focusing on topics such as beliefs and practices and religious texts. Our specification has been broadened out to cover six religions and give the option to focus on one of these major world religions throughout, or to study a combination of up to three of these religions.
